Calendar View

Available to: Everyone

The Calendar View shows an entire month of schedules in a grid. Employees run down the left side, dates run across the top. Each cell shows the shifts assigned to that employee on that day.

Layout

  • Rows = employees (in the same order as the Employees page)
  • Columns = dates of the month
  • Cells = shifts for that employee on that date

Each cell can show:

  • The shift time (e.g., 09:00 - 17:00)
  • The accumulated overtime balance up to that date
  • Leave indicators if the employee is on vacation, sick, or taking overtime reduction

Switching to Calendar View

On the Schedule page, look for the view toggle at the top. Click Calendar to switch from the List View.

Reading the grid

Shift cells

A filled cell means the employee has a shift that day. The cell shows the shift time and duration.

Leave indicators

Color-coded markers show leave:

  • Blue -- vacation
  • Yellow -- sick leave
  • Grey -- overtime reduction

Overtime balance

Each cell can display the running overtime balance for that employee up to that date. This helps you spot who's building up too many hours and who's behind.

Editing from Calendar View

Click any cell to open the shift editor. You can:

  • Add a shift to an empty cell
  • Edit an existing shift
  • Remove a shift

Drag and drop

You can drag shifts between cells to reassign them. Drag a shift from one employee/date to another. See Drag and Drop for details.

Public holidays

Dates that fall on Austrian public holidays are highlighted in yellow with the holiday name shown. This helps you plan around holidays when scheduling.

Month navigation

Use the arrows at the top to move between months. The grid updates to show the selected month.

Tip: The Calendar View is great for getting a high-level picture of the month. Use it to spot gaps, check coverage across areas, and balance overtime. Switch back to the List View when you need to work on individual shifts in detail.
